Are you interested in having your children become involved with high school rodeo competitions? High school rodeos which are part of the National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) or similar associations, are an exceptional way for kids and their horses to learn about sportsmanship, riding, and improve their skills.
At Ferrante Ranch, we help sponsor high school rodeos in Southern California and offer training for both young adults and their horses. Our Southern California horse ranch has been family owned and operated for 40 years and we have 150 years of combined experience.
There are many different types of events involved in high school rodeo competition, all of which our Southern California horse trainers have experience with. We take great pride in furthering the goals of associations like the NHSRA, such as starting involvement with riding and competitions as young as possible, as these competitions are an excellent way for young adults to further their abilities and confidence in riding.
In addition to the above types of competition, we also help prepare young adults for the Queen Contest and shooting sports. The NHSRA Queen Contest is intended for young girls who ride and each girl is judged in eight categories. These categories include horsemanship, written test, impromptu speech, prepared speech, personal interview, personality, appearance, and modeling. The NHSRA also holds shooting competitions for junior high and high school divisions. This includes competitions for .22 caliber, rifle, and trap shooting.
