This
year the Ferrante Ranch will be showing at several rein cow horse
and cutting events throughout California, Nevada and Arizona. They
will return to Italy annually to conduct several cutting and rein
cow horse clinics for both open and non-pro riders.
Horses
that we have owned, trained and shown have won over $500,000.00 in
competitions. Non-Pro and youth riders that we have instructed have
won over $50,000.00
We
have trained a number of our own champion horses, including "Monta
Docs Joe" (PCCHA open futurity cutting champion), "Monta
Doc Cola" (NCHA derby cutting finalist), and "Monta
Doc Marie" (PCCHA Open Breeders Classic, PCCHA, lassic, Reon
Classic Finalist).
We
have also trained other champion horses, including "Cutters
Smart Star" (NRCHA Gold & Silver Lt. Open Hackamore
champion), "Ima Chex Coyote" (NRCHA Amatuer Snaffle
Bit Futurity Champion), and "Yellers Golden Lilly"
(NRCHA Youth Bridle Champion), plus many other show winners.
In
Italy, George has coached top trainers and riders Gianluca Marchesini
(winner of the 2002 cutting futurity in Italy), Andera Santini, Carol
Telford, and Non-pro riders Nichoel, Michael and Matia Grigolato and
many others.
In
1999, George was asked to judge a show in Italy. The Italian Cutters
were so happy with the way he judged and conducted himself, and how he
helped them to improve their riding, that Guanluca asked if he could
come to the Ferrante Ranch in Somis for instruction in cutting. He
spent time with George, learning about cutting, good cutting horses,
and learning about the cutting industry here in the US.
Guanluca
went back to Italy and won the Derby on the stallion "ACH Play
with Prizes", the most famous cutting horse in Italy.
From
that time, several Italian Cutting horse riders have come to our ranch
for private clinics, and George has conducted five cutting clinics in
Italy. We will be going back several times this
next year to train and instruct.
Ferrante
Ranch now offers a well-rounded training program for everyone. We
run one of the best winter and summer horsemanship programs for
youth riders in California, teaching the fundamentals of
horsemanship, safety, cutting, reining and working cow.
With
our experience in training, showing and judging we have the
ability to make top winners out of good horses and non pro riders.
