Kathie Ferrante and Ima Chex Coyote,
win the Amateur division at Snaffle Bit
Kathie
Ferrante of Somis, CA, collected the buckle and the winner's check in the
Amateur division by marking a total of 409.5 riding Ima Chex Coyote.
Ferrante began riding
cutting horses in 1982, and her husband is a cutting horse trainer. The
horse is owned by breeder Ted Mock of Palos Verdes, who stood the horse's sire, Coyote
Quixote.
"I've been coming to
the Snaffle Bit without a horse for the last 10 years," Mock said.
"This is the first horse to enter. We'll be taking him home for a
rest and putting him up for sale, and we hope to be back with another horse in
the future."
