For Somis, California, resident Kathie Ferrante and IMA CHEX COYOTE, consistency was the key to winning the amateur division.  Ferrante guided the stallion to a 136 in the herd work, 134.5 in the reined work and a 139 down the fence for a total of 409.5, the top score among the 15 amateur entries.
